In early 2023 the Board of Directors of the Point Roberts Food Bank purchased a lot located at 486 Teller Road, with the intent of building a heated warehouse where all of the Food Bank’s inventory can be consolidated and stored under one roof, a long-time dream of our former President, Henry Rosenthal. A single building will allow better oversight and management of our inventory, and end our complete reliance on the Point Roberts Marketplace for use of its freezers and refrigerators. (Many many thanks to he Marketplace for helping us out!!!!)

An application for a Conditional Use Permit for the new building was submitted in 2024, and as of March 2025 we are waiting on road access and drainage engineering reports that are required before final approval. After that approval we will proceed with the detailed permitting and construction of the 24×36 storage building.

This is a significant step for the Food Bank, and will require the continuing support of the community to complete.
